Dr.
Daniel Ezhilarasu had an outstanding academic career starting
from a B.Sc in Physics from Voorhees College, M.Sc and M.Phil.,from
MCC, Tambaram, and Ph. D from the University of Madras.
He also has an M.A., in Sociology from the Sri Venkateswara
University and Batchelor of Divinity Degree as an external
student from the Senate of the Serampore College as well
as a Diploma in Higher Education from the AIACHE.He spent
one year at Selly Oakes Colleges, Birmingham getting a Certificate
in Cross Cultural Communications. He has attended leadership
training courses by the Haggai Institute.
Dr.
Daniel Ezhilarasu has wide ranging interests in the Church
and Society having served on the Executive Committee of
the Synod of the Church of South India and its Council for
Higher Education, Executive Committee of the CSI Vellore
Diocese and as Convener for the Board of Higher Education,
member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Vellore,
Founder member of the Vellore Chapter of the Leprosy Mission
Trust, Member of the Board of Directors of the Vellore Chapter
of the YMCA.
The
AIACHE recognized his outstanding services by awarding Best
Principal Award in the year 2005.
Dr.
Daniel Ezhilarasu is happily married to Dr. Punitha Ezhilarasu,
former Dean and Head Surgical Nursing and continuing nursing
education, a Professor in the College of Nursing of the
Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. Their two children,
Melinda and Jayanth are both graduates (M.B.B.S.) of the
Christian Medical College, Vellore and presently pursuing
P.G in CMC. Joe, his son-in-law is interested in Ministry,
particularly in music ministry and daughter-in-law, a P.G
student in CMC Vellore.
His
association with AIACHE started quite early in his career
as a faculty at Voorhees College and became stronger after
he became the Principal of the College. He has represented
AIACHE at the Governing Council of the American College,
Madurai and CMC Council and at the time of becoming the
General Secretary, he was a member of the Executive Board
of the AIACHE.
